Marian Powell began volunteering with shelter dogs in 2014 and has worked in various shelters as both an employee and as a volunteer. In 2021, while volunteering at Animal Humane New Mexico, she attended The Academy for Dog Trainers (founded by Jean Donaldson) and earned a Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC).
