Jordan Flagg
Jordan Flagg got her start working with dogs when she was just a teenager, by volunteering at her local humane society. She started out by walking dogs and providing enrichment, but as she gained experience she began interning in the behavior department. There she would assist in performing behavior evaluations, as well as implementing behavior modification programs for dogs who needed extra help getting adopted. It was through this work that she discovered her love for training dogs, and for clicker training in particular.
From a young age she began doing all kinds of things with her personal dogs, from trick training to agility to disc sport! Jordan currently competes in agility with her Belgian Sheepdog Atlas, and has hopes of entering more sports as well.
Jordan’s favorite kind of dog to work with are high-drive, high-energy dogs who have a zest for life and for fun! These are the types of dog she lives to work with, and shares her home with. That being said she loves working with all kinds of dogs, including those who need a confidence boost. She thoroughly loves seeing the progress shy/fearful dogs can make with gentle care and some patience.
Training Philosophy
Jordan believes that the best approach to learning is one that is free of force and intimidation. Training and teaching should be positive and fun! Everything she teaches is centered around the science of learning.

Training Methods
Jordan Flagg is a force-free trainer, meaning she will never employ techniques that use pain, force, fear, or coercion to change behavior. She believes that using methods that are aversive can cause behavioral fallout- and result in aggression and anxiety as a side-effect. Science also tells us that pain and fear get in the way of learning.
