Johanna’s mission is to help East Bay dogs and their people love life together - so you can enjoy a well-behaved dog at home and in your neighborhood.
Johanna graduated with honors from the prestigious Academy for Dog Trainers, earning her Certification in Training and Counseling (CTC). She also spent many years volunteering in animal shelters, rescues, and spay and neuter programs, where she actively worked to curb dog overpopulation issues in California. This work helped her appreciate the importance of quality training in keeping dogs out of shelters.
Drawing from her teaching background in Germany, Johanna shares concepts and skills in an accessible and easy-to-apply way - for two and four-legged learners.

Laska Dog Training offers a variety of services, including:
- Day Training: Johanna trains your dog for you while you are at work or otherwise busy. This service includes a three-week program with three 60-minute training sessions per week, weekly handover sessions to showcase your dog's progress, and two 60-minute follow-up sessions after the three weeks of training.
- Private Training: Johanna coaches you through a variety of exercises tailored to you and your dog. This service includes a ten-week training program with one 60-minute training session per week, customized training plan with homework instructions to complete each week.
- Jump Start Consultation: A private session to discuss training needs, behavior, and suitable packages. This service is 60 minutes long and costs $175.
