Janet Cutler
Janet Cutler is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). She has an MSc and PhD, both specializing in animal behaviour and welfare. She's been working in the animal industry for 20 years, as a veterinary technician, behaviour researcher, dog trainer, and behaviorist. She started learning about animal behaviour after struggling with her own Australian Shepherd's reactivity and aggression. This led to her MSc and PhD at the University of Guelph, where she learned about animal behaviour and welfare, as well as epidemiology. She is also an instructor at the Ontario Veterinary College, teaching veterinary students about companion animal behaviour and welfare.

Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog. This humane approach is scientifically proven to be the most effective long-term training method, strengthening the bond between you and your pet. By consistently rewarding good behavior, your dog learns to associate actions with positive outcomes, leading to lasting improvements and a happier companion.

Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.
