Angie Mueller
Angie Mueller began her career as a trainer/canine behavior consultant in 2011 when she joined the Michigan Humane Society Pawsitive Start program as a volunteer dog trainer. There, she taught basic obedience to adoptable shelter dogs and did behavior modification with some of the more challenging dogs. Her passion for helping shelter dogs, as well as having a reactive rescue of her own, led her to pursue an education in canine behavior and to certification as a trainer. She graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy in January of 2015. Angie is also a Puppy Start Right Preschool instructor teaching owners how to properly socialize their pups.
Training Philosophy
Angie believes pets are family members and that we have an obligation to protect, love, play with, and care for our furry family members for their entire lives. That care includes teaching them the right skills and how to make the right behavior choices. She believes in the power of positive reinforcement and is committed to teaching dogs and modifying their behavior by using science-based methods reinforcing desired behavior and training without the use of shock collars, prong collars, pain or intimidation.
